Totals add up only the figures that have been published. Some projects have no published MW or MWh, so the true totals are higher.

About the list
Each project is checked against at least one public source: a company press release, an annual report, a project page or a news article. The project name links to the main source. Where sources disagree, the most recent figure is used and the disagreement is noted.
Operating means a source confirms the battery is commissioned. Under construction means construction has started but the battery is not confirmed online. Planned means an investment decision, a signed construction contract or a building permit, and Permitting means a permit application is still being decided. Projects with only an announcement, land agreement or letter of intent are not listed.
The list covers batteries from about 1 MW. Smaller units and home batteries are not included. The size filter uses storage capacity (MWh), or power (MW) where storage is not published; projects with no published size count as over 10 MWh.
The list is not complete. Green Power Sweden counted 130 approved battery parks totalling about 5,100 MW at the end of 2025, most without a published developer or size. Projects are added once they have a permit application, a permit or a construction decision.
